Dubrovnik in the South of Croatia on the Dalmatian coast is a very popular place for Tourists visiting Croatia, being there I now know why. It’s just an amazing nice city. The city walls you can walk on and have a view over the old town, with all it’s narrow streets and over the Sea and the Lupud Island. With a Cable car just outside the old town, you can go up hill to Mount Srd and it’s Fortress build by Napoleon from which you even have a better view over the whole Dubrovnik bay area and its harbor. During the Yugoslavic war in the 90’s the fortress and the big cross were heavily damaged by Serbian bombs, but lucky for us Tourists it’s restored again and maybe looking better than before. The fortress is a museum now. You can see this City has a history, but since I don’t remember the history of every place I visit, I will not write about it, there’s wikipedia for that. I just enjoyed myself walking around town. From here I did 2 excursions to neighboring countries Bosnia Hercegovina visiting Mostar that also got destroyed by Serbian bombs and to Montenegro where I visited Kotor.
